I just got home today from ministering in New Jersey with my friend Welber Dos Santos. Over the years I have had the privilege of ministering along side this great man of God from Brazil. While I was with him (in one of the five churches that he oversees as the apostolic head), I experienced God come in a very unique way, people wept as I preached, the altars were full of people night after night praying, weeping, crying out, hungry for the touch of God. It was a very refreshing experience. As I think about this past weekend the scripture that comes to mind is  Acts 3:19… “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” Isn’t that the key? Times of refreshing come from the Lord!! I think that the church in America is by and large trying to find times of refreshing, and we are running to everything but HIM. We seek refreshing from television, ballgames, movies, shopping, etc. And after coming away from all these things we are still not refreshed. When are we going to realize that times of real refreshing can only come from him? When are we going to stop drinking out of broken pots that can hold no water and come back to Him who is the water of life? I hear the voice of the Lord saying, “there is only one thing that is necessary and Mary has chosen it.” God give us the wisdom to take the time, and choose the necessary thing. I encourage you to make time over the next few days, if you haven’t gotten alone with Him for a while. Go and find a secret place. Drink deeply from the wells of living water, and let God refresh you. (just a thought)

Here we go again!

I’m sitting in my office writing at the behest of so many that are saying, “Dobie, you need to get your blog going.” So here it is: For the past several months we’ve been continuing to travel and preach the word. The Lord has continued to be faithful to bless his word as souls have been saved and lives have been changed! I just returned from the annual National Native Youth Convention in Phoenix. God blessed and we saw several young people come to the altar for salvation and healing. Before that we were in New Jersey for the New Jersey Mens Conference. Again God blessed and many were touched night after night as God moved among us. I know those men will never be the same.

Over the past two or three months there have been a couple of places that have been extra special to me, as God has used those places to work in my life. One such place was Sitka Alaska, where God met me in a great way. It seemed like there was an open heaven and I heard Gods voice especially clear there. I am praying for pastor Bill Welch and the church because it seems that there is so much destiny written over the lives there.

Los Angeles California was another place that God used to speak to me. My wife and I attended a church planters bootcamp there and it was at that camp that God confirmed to us that we are definitely doing what we are called to do.

Last but not least, I want to mention Destiny Church in Ruskin Florida. They encouraged me by agreeing to partner with us in the new church plant in Phoenix. Thank you Ruskin, and Jerry and Linda Lubrano! You’re a blessing!

I really don’t know if anyone reads these blogs or not. That may be the reason I am a little reticent about writing. I really don’t know if anyone is going to read this. So….if you read this let me know, it will encourage me to continue to share my thoughts.

As I write this blog I am sitting in a hotel room in Meadow Lake Saskatchewan. It’s Friday November 16th, and I will be ministering in this community tonight, tommorrow night and Sunday. We have been praying that God would speak to us loud and clear that we might know what his will is for our lives. I am going to take these days here in northern Saskatchewan to get alone with the Lord and seek his face for our future. Please join me and pray that God would have His way, and give us divine direction for the next season of our lives and minisrty.
